Contact Me!

I highly recommend trying to answer the questions in my New Client Questionnaire below. These are all of the questions I will end up asking you anyway. I also ask that you read my FAQs, rates, and fine print, which will answer many of your questions right now!

If you have questions that the questionnaire does not cover, you can email me at jenny@websydaisy.com.

Because of my tight schedule and goal of providing quick service to all of my clients, I do request that all contact be by email. I cannot schedule meetings or phone consultations. You can read more about why here.

I am now booking projects to start in August 2010!

New Client Questionnaire

Your name:

Your email: (Please type this carefully, as it is the only way I can contact you.)

Name of Your Business/Organization:

  1. What is the primary purpose of the site? Is it to be generally an informational brochure about your business, or primarily a store to sell products?

  2. Do you need me to set up an online store for your products? (if "No", skip to #3 below)

If yes, do you have a merchant account for accepting credit cards or do you want to use Paypal's cart to accept credit card and paypal payments?

If you have a merchant account, who is it with (i.e., authorize.net, Payflow, etc.)?

Do you need to be able to add/edit/delete products and categories yourself?

How many products do you think you will have in the store ?

Do you have a shopping cart that you specifically want to use or do you want recommendations?

If you answered yes, what cart do you want to use?

  3. Have you already registered your domain name (www.mywebsite.com)?

If you have registered your domain name, what is it?

What company is it registered with?

Have you signed up for hosting?

    I recommend the following hosts:

    Blue host
    Host Monster
    Host Gator

If you have signed up for hosting, what company is it with (i.e., Bluehost, Hostmonster, Hostgator, etc)?

Please note that there are certain hosting companies that I am not willing to work with - Yahoo, Earthlink, and Hostway, among others. They charge too much, are incredibly difficult to work with, and have terrible technical support. Switching hosts is too easy to stay with a bad one.

  4. Do you need to be able to edit the content of your non-store pages yourself?
  5. Do you need a blog?
  6. Do you have a logo you want to use?

If not, do you need logo creation as part of your package? *

I typically refer logo design to a colleague who specializes in brand identity design.
  7. What pages do you need (Home, About, Contact, etc.)? Please note that I need a complete list in order to give you a quote.

  8. Are you going to need any Flash?
  9. Do you already have your content written and any needed photography?
  10. Do you need a recommendation for someone to help you write your content, do copy writing, or blog for you?
  11. Do you have sample web sites that are in the style you want yours to be? Please list them below. Feel free to share any notes about what you like about them.

  12. Do you have any printed materials (brochures, stationery, etc) that you want to match?

If "Yes", do you have the artwork that was used for them?

Do you have permission from their designer to use the graphics for a web site?
  13. What is your budget for this project?

Please attempt to answer this question if at all possible. I will never inflate a quote just to spend all of your budget. My sites tend to run between $800 - $2000. There are some projects that can run less, but they are more the exception than the rule. I am not accepting pro bono projects or any barter arrangements at this time.
  14. When will you be ready to get started on this project? *

I HAVE AVAILABLE BOOKINGS IN AUGUST 2010!

*By this date ALL of your text should be written, all necessary photography should be ready, any artwork you will be providing should be available, etc. Please do not request a start date that is before you can be ready with your materials. Delaying a project past your start date will result in additional fees or may result in your project being postponed until my next unbooked time period.
  15. When do you need the site to go live? **

** Please allow at LEAST 2-3 weeks between when you will be ready to start and when you need the site to go live. Your site can usually be ready well before then, but unless you are prepared to pay a rush fee, I cannot promise a quicker turnaround.
  16. Notes/Comments:

  17. How did you hear about me?
